Help us celebrate Week of the Young Child with our Rev, Rumble & Roar event on April 12, 2025.
Event Description:
This is part of First 5 Shasta's Week of the Young Child literacy event. The Redding Library parking lot will be filled with BIG trucks for the kids to climb on, and run around. Vendors will be inside the Redding Library Children's area providing resources and their will be arts and crafts for the kids inside as well. Each year over 1,300 people visit the Redding Library and climb on big trucks. We hope to see you there!
Volunteer Job Description:
- Set up & break down - we have a lot of decorations to hang and account for. Help carry in tables and chairs and allocate them to vendors (based on a map we create)
- Direct vehicles to their spots (based on a map we create with who said they're coming)
- Direct patrons to the various stations
- Man craft stations to help with questions or supplies restocking
- Man activity stations - we will have a wrecking ball activity that will need to be set up each time it's wrecked
- Pass out goodies - we will have hats to give out, as well as temporary tattoos and badges
- Other duties as assigned
